Year of Environmental Action Book Club: Theory of Water by Leanne Betasamosake Simpson In-Person / Online

As part of McMaster Libraries’ Year of Environmental Action, the Libraries' Sustainability Committee invites students, staff, and faculty to discuss Theory of Water: Nishnaabe Maps to the Times Ahead by Leanne Betasamosake Simpson. The book club will meet for one hour in a hybrid format on the last Thursday of the month in October, November, January, February, and March to discuss a chapter/segment of the book, and the themes it considers including relationality, Indigenous Knowledges, extractivism in academia, colonialism, and alternative modes of environmental assessment.
