Knowledge Synthesis Series: Comprehensive Approaches to Grey Literature in Research Online
Grey literature such as reports, theses, conference proceedings, and government documents—plays a critical role in ensuring research completeness and reducing publication bias. This session will provide researchers with advanced strategies for identifying, accessing, and evaluating grey literature sources across disciplines. We will explore where to find and access specialized databases, institutional repositories, and identify search techniques that go beyond traditional scholarly channels. Participants will learn how to develop a strategy to search for grey literature for their systematic reviews, evidence syntheses, and other research projects. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be equipped with practical tools and best practices for incorporating non-traditional sources into rigorous academic work.
