Jurek Kolasa - Sharing Research Data (RDM Community of Practice)

Jurek Kolasa - Sharing Research Data (RDM Community of Practice) Online

McMaster has a new Community of Practice for Research Data Management (RDM)! We meet the last Thursday of every month at 11 AM to learn together across all levels of RDM expertise. We begin each meeting with a 30-minute guest presentation, followed by a roundtable conversation.

Researchers might consider sharing data to align with a journal or funder requirement, from a desire to make data accessible, or for data archiving. Discuss as peers in our monthly RDM Community of Practice led by Dr. Jurek Kolasa (Department of Biology) and Siobhan Schenk on Thursday, May 25 at 11 AM (EST). Dr. Kolasa has recently shared several datasets in McMaster Dataverse, including one gathered over a period of almost 20 years. This conversation will be relevant to researchers across departments who have questions, concerns, and enthusiasm about sharing data, from publishing to archiving and beyond! Here is the meeting link.

We’re also welcoming sessions from folks doing RDM across the university, so if you’re working on data sharing, reproducibility, or other questions, email rdm@mcmaster.ca.
