Dr. Ingrid Waldron (Professor and HOPE Chair in Peace and Health, Global Peace and Social Justice Program, Department of History, Faculty of Humanities, McMaster University) invites you to a free screening of her documentary There’s Something in the Water, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with three of the women featured in the documentary: Dorene Bernard (Sipekne'katik First Nation), Louise Delisle (Shelburne), and Michelle Francis-Denny (Pictou Landing First Nation). 

The documentary, which is based on Dr. Waldron’s book of the same name, was directed by Canadian actor Elliot Page and Ian Daniel, and co-produced by Page, Daniel, Waldron, and Julia Sanderson It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2019 and started streaming on Netflix in March 2020. It is currently streaming on Apple TV, Amazon Prime and Microsoft XBOX.
